More clearly stated here: oust Waggoner and install Ghosn. Excellent idea. Would not change GM's product mix strategy radically; Nissan doesn't see the sense in hybrids either.

GM board takes an unscheduled meeting to discuss Renault/Nissan linkup. GM would be Carlos Ghosn's biggest career challenge. If it is possible to do, he can likely do it.
